Welcome to our new intern, Tara Eliassen Kongsvik

Tara Eliassen Kongsvik is a fifth-year Master’s student at the Oslo School of Architecture and Design (AHO) and joins POETIC with a Bachelor’s degree from Oxford Brookes University (RIBA Part 1). Her work is characterised by a strong material and model-based approach, where physical making functions as an investigative and spatial tool within the architectural process.

In the autumn of 2024, Tara worked as a student assistant on AHO’s centenary exhibition dedicated to Professor Sverre Fehn, with responsibility for production, assembly and visual communication. The role provided valuable insight into the interplay between archive, space, construction and architectural mediation.

During her internship at POETIC, Tara will gain experience in international architectural competitions, design–build projects and the studio’s day-to-day practice. The placement will also provide the opportunity to realise one of her own projects at full scale (1:1), with a focus on materiality, construction and architectural execution, alongside documentation and publication.
